Juan López was a soldier in the Mexican-American war who fought in Santa Ana's army and was captured and tortured by American troops. His ghost haunts the second-floor boys bathroom in the N building, the site of his hanging. Students have reported seeing blood on the walls and heard screams.[citation needed]
