Dual-enrollment classes are weighted classes that offer credit from both a high school and a community college. Gunn High School students have the opportunity to take a few dual-enrollment classes from Foothill College.

Students used to be able to take Multivariable Calculus and Linear Algebra as dual-enrollment courses up until last year; however, the school district removed the dual-enrollment status of these courses, leading to sustained protests from parts of the student body. Many students who skipped a year of math still choose to enroll in these courses at Foothill College independently of the school, though.
