Students used to be able to take [[Multivariable Calculus]] and [[Linear Algebra]] as dual-enrollment courses up until last year; however, the school district removed the dual-enrollment status of these courses, leading to protests from parts of the student body. Dual-enrollment classes are weighted classes that offer credit from both a high school and a community college. Gunn High School students have the opportunity to take a few dual-enrollment classes from Foothill College.
