Sadly, she retired after the 2024-2025 school year, after a very long 20+ years of teaching at Gunn (she started teaching at Gunn in 2002). During her tenure, she led Gunn orchestras to perform at the Midwest Clinic, an international music educator's conference, twice, once in 2013 and once in 2022, and oversaw the renovation of Spagneberg and the creation of the [[Chamber Orchestra H|Chamber Orchestra]] course.
