Gunn Discord

The Gunn discord is a discord server created by Timothy Herchen and Edmund Lam during the COVID-19 pandemic. The invite link is https://discord.gg/Cx5DQSu.

Channels

Channels are grouped into meta, verification, text, academic, moderation, and voice. All but the moderation channels are accessible by verified users, unverified users only have access to the verification and meta channels, and in addition to the meta channels, non-PAUSD students only have access to #kentucky and #fek.

#senior-quad

#senior-quad (not to be confused with the former name for the bat-cave, senior-quad) is a text channel only accessible to the current seniors. Although typically archived, the channel is only resurrected for discussing private senior matters.

The channel is named after the senior quad by the P building, which had some controversy after construction of the new P building finished due to non-seniors sitting on what was traditionally regarded as an exclusive lunch area for seniors.

bat-cave

bat-cave (formerly senior-quad) is a voice channel for casual conversations. It is named after the corresponding Bat Cave at Gunn, a noisy seating area where many students eat lunch and chat.

s-building

s-building is a voice channel meant specifically for music listening, and thus speaking is disabled for non-moderator users. The channel is named after the S Building at Gunn, which hosts the music classes.
