The Spangenberg Theater, or simply Spangenberg, is Gunn's main theater and auditorium. It has a seating capacity of 925 people[1] (915 seats+10 wheelchair spots), which is about half of Gunn's population. It was built in 1964 and was dedicated to Karl Spangenberg on 1964-05-12.[2]
Function as a school auditorium
Spangenberg is used to hold many school assemblies, for example expectations talks for Freshmen, Homecoming theme reveal videos, SEC candidate speeches, and other marginally useful school assemblies viewed mainly as a waste of time by students. School plays are also presented here.
Function as a theater
The theater is also used to show Gunn Theatre productions, as well as host the annual TEDxGunn High School conference.
Pool
A school legend states that there is a pool on top of Spangenberg. This is totally false and there is no reason for anyone to believe it.
