Zero period was an optional period that met before the normal start of school. A variety of classes used to be offered during zero period,[citation needed] but only PE has been offered since. Zero period is no longer offered in the 2020–2021 school year.

Meeting time

Zero period PE took place before school between 7:15 and 8:15 AM, four times per five-day week from Tuesdays to Fridays, and on all but the first school day on four-day weeks.[1] Meanwhile, zero period broadcast journalism took place from 7:30 to 8:30 AM once a week, since announcements happened from 8:25-8:30.
