Math Circle is a large and prominent club at Gunn where over 50 people descend on Room 207 and 208 to learn about math not usually taught in the high school curriculum. Math Circle hosts the Gunn Math Team, or GMT, which is known for doing extremely well in math competitions and containing some geniuses. The Math Circle even hosts its own competition, the Gunn Math Competition, as well as the BAMO, or Bay Area Mathematical Olympiad. Notably, many people attending Math Circle have gone on to qualify for AIME, USAMO, or even MOP. | Math Circle is a large and prominent club at Gunn where over 50 people descend on Room 207 and 208 to learn about math not usually taught in the high school curriculum.
