Prom is an annual event at Gunn High School. Unlike most other schools, Gunn does not have a separate Junior and Senior prom.

The event is usually held in April, and is hosted at a variety of venues such as:

  • The San Jose Tech Interactive Museum (2024-2025 venue)
    • After events at the Prom, Gunn High School was banned from the Tech Interactive[1]
  • San Francisco Design Center Galleria (2023-2024 venue)
    • This was also supposed to be the venue for the 2019-2020 Prom, but was cancelled after the start of the Pandemic.
  • The Exploratorium (2022-2023 venue)
  • City View at Metreon San Francisco (2021-2022 venue)
