Office hours
Office hours can either refer to the various Zoom meetings teachers allocated for students to come to to seek help when COVID-19 first started, or the Tutorial period that happened after school during the 2020-2021 school year.
It no longer exists, though students can meet with teachers during PRIME.
Spring of 2020
Office hours were originally created during Phase 2 of school closure because many connections between students and teachers dropped, and students often found distance learning difficult. When Phase 3 started, teachers were still not allowed to require synchronous time, because some students may be busy during the time teachers decide on synchronous time. Because of this, teachers created "class time" during office hours to help students feel normal, even during COVID, and class time got pretty close to required synchronous time at times, especially toward the end of the year.
June week
During the last week of school, all office hours were removed, as there was no work that week, and instead there were Zoom meetings, still optional, for students to say goodbye to their teachers, following a similar bell schedule to the finals week.
2020-2021
During the 2020-2021 school year, classes are now required, and a Tutorial period has been brought back, though it is usually called office hours, and all teachers have the same time for office hours. Unlike the name suggests, office hours are only actually a half hour long, though they often go past the end time.
