Personality
Mr. Brown is known for his harsh grading and terrible dad jokes. He is also very passionate about acting, causing him to read Macbeth with a Scottish accent with his English 10A students. Mr. Brown is very passionate about films, including the following opinions:
- Everything Everywhere All At Once was a bad movie
- Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is a realistic depiction of love
Mr. Brown is one of the strictest teachers at Gunn about attendance. His policies require students to report on a roster taped to the wall with the date of whenever they were late to class. This will impact both a student's grade and a student's ability to get a letter of recommendation for college.
Idiosyncrasies
Mr. Brown is notoriously hard to achieve an A from, both in his regular English courses and his elective class. Despite this, he does give good feedback and advice to students when they would like to improve their essay skills.
