Strawberry Hill is a hill north and slightly west of Gunn High School. Well known by Gunn Track athletes as "gut buster hill" or similar names, the hill is mostly covered in yellow grass. Several concrete paths converge on top of the hill: a path going from Bol Park to the west side of Gunn, a path coming up from the softball and football fields, and a path going alongside the soccer field to another bike path. An unpaved path, sometimes used by runners, cuts through the yellow grass.

Two benches are located at the top of the hill. One is dedicated to Cameron Scott Lee, a Gunn student who took his own life in 2014. The plaque reads: " ... ". The other is dedicated to ..., who was born in Stalingrad and moved to Palo Alto in .... The hill has a single oak tree, which Timothy Herchen notes is covered in oak galls, signifying that the tree is unhealthy.

As of July 2024, the airspace above Strawberry Hill is classified as KNUQ class D airspace, operating UAS without airspace authorization is a violation of 14 CFR § 107.41.
