The Oracle is Gunn's monthly newspaper, available as printed issues and online at gunnoracle.com. It often puts out surveys of student opinion or experience and incorporates the results into articles. It is published by students in the Advanced Journalism and Media Studies - Newspaper class.
Types of Articles
A cursory review of Oracle articles from the October 2024 issues reveals the following general article types, which are usually present in other issues:
- Local and national events, especially articles affecting students
- Single-opinion editorials
- In-depth editorials
- Pro/con editorials
- Student spotlight
- Organization spotlight
The Oracle also runs advertisements to support itself.
