Litter is commonly seen outdoors on the Gunn campus.

Sorting

Most of Gunn's garbage cans come in sets of three with landfill, recycling, and compost. Students are encouraged to sort their trash properly, however, this is frequently ignored. Infographics taped to the side of each bin showing which items go where seem to do little to help the situation.

Attempts to solve

In 2024, the Social Justice AAR class started a poster campaign to get people to pick up their trash.
