Zero period PE 9 is a class covering the same units as PE 9, though it meets during zero period from 7:55-8:50 four days a week, excluding Monday. Because zero period did not exist during the 2020-2021 school year, this class did not exist either, and students who signed up for it were simply placed in normal PE 9. This was reverted in the 2021-2022 school year.

Course catalog description

This course is the same as 9th Grade PE, but runs four days each week from 7:55-8:50 in the morning instead of during the regular school day. This course is appropriate for students and athletes who are early risers. NOTE: Taking this course DOES NOT allow students to enroll in another class during the school day - all students are limited to 7 classes including PE.

Units covered

Should I take this course?

Zero period PE should only be taken if you are an early riser and would like an extra prep where you can do your homework. Otherwise, just take normal PE.
