GunnWiki aims to have a page on every course at Gunn. Here are a few guidelines:

Infobox

Every course should have an infobox, created by putting {{Infobox course}} at the top of the page. In the visual editor, insert a template with the name Infobox course.

Valid parameters:

  • department - TODO
  • length - sem or year
  • weighted - yes or no
  • teachers - Put teacher names, separated by <br />
  • credit - no, optional, or repeat

Section: Course catalog description

Copy and paste content from the course catalog here (no matter how many typos it has). Replace bulleted lists with a wiki-formatted bulleted list. For cases where multiple courses use one section (for example, Contemporary World History and Contemporary World History SJ), only include asterisk notes that pertain to the current course.

Section: Units studied

Put a numbered list of the units (or the equivalent of units) studied. The exact name of this section may vary (for example, "Authors covered")

Section: Should I take this course?

This is where your horror stories about the course come in, although please try to remain as neutral as possible. If you are unable to make your story neutral, add a section to the "Discussion" tab of that course's page where you post your story, and other people can help neutralize it.
