A student ID card is an identification card issued to PAUSD students at the beginning of each school year. It lists each student's school, grade, student ID number, and library card number. It also includes the student's most recent school (yearbook) photo and a barcode of their student ID.
The main use of student ID cards is as a quickly scannable card used to enter students into a database, for example when checking out textbooks or in the brunch and lunch lines. They are also used during standardized testing (for example the AP tests or the PSAT) to verify student identity.
What to do if lost
Losing a student ID is a fairly common occurrence. Lost student IDs are supposed to be turned in at the SAC.[citation needed] Students can also use the barcode generation feature on WATT.
